To mend shining as darkie: Have Cross-pein Hammer from Ost-in-Edhil, a piece of Mithril from Moria, and raid ZOC to free a “proud man” (loads east of Bulgotha). He then returns to WNOC (u, e, s from Shaman-GM). Give him hammer, and mithril, and he will be able to mend shining. A few pieces (I don't know exactly how many) are mendable per piece of mithril. He stays there for about an hour or two RL, or until killed.
Aging potion received from the Fornost Alchemist gives you the aging effect. This effect will speed you to ancient age, past 7th and keep you there for 6 months RL. Probably the only way to get rid of it sooner is mobdeath, drowning/bloodlack doesn't remove the effect. FOY has no effect on your age while you are affected by aging.

Eblees almost always load weapon sheath.
Alcove south of Fornost has a brigand, robber, 3 ruffians. Sheath loads on robber every pop.
Tower hills zone where the elven chief waits for the wine barrel. Behind closed, locked door is a chest with weapon sheath in it.
For light piercing weapons you can use smooth black boots as a sheath. They load on a skeleton just off the path s of warrens, outside.
