Create Focus
Where the White Ship docks in Valinor, there will be a ferry waiting. Board this, and it will take you further on. From where it drops you off, go: s u n 2w u 2w 4s 4w 5s u e 2u. This is the room where you create your focus. Once you have full hitpoints, mana, and moves, you will “cast 'create focus' <item>”, where <item> is 'staff' for the staff focus, 'ring' for the sapphire ring focus (make sure you're targetting the right ring!), 'topaz' for pale blue stone.
For a staff, you need to find a perfect oak branch. These branches load in the oak trees that load around Arda - there are 7 load spots, but only 2 trees will be loading at any given time. Once you have the branch, you need to take it to the carpenter near the Blue Mountains (from outside the BM gates - 2e s 2e s 2e s e 2s 3w 2s e) to get it carved into 'a carved oak staff'. You will need to enchant this staff yourself before you focus it.
For a sapphire ring, you will need to find a 'power-ring'. Rings that fit this category are: an iron ring, a ruby ring, a copper ring, a banded ring, and a jewelled ring (any type).
For a pale blue stone, you will need to find a topaz.
For a phial, you will need to find an adamant. This loads in only one place: in the hoard guarded by Mithnaur the Dragon.

This spell will allow you to see if someone has recently cast a spell in the room you are in, as well as allowing you to see if it was cast by an evil-race (red tones), or a good-race (white tones).
This spell will also allow you to see who a focused item belongs to, by examining it.
You will be able to see, by typing 'look' or 'examine', if someone is watching your room with the watch room spell, or if a portal is leading into your room.
With a high enough knowledge of this spell, you will be able to see the magic room key for where a portal leads to, where a portal is coming from, and where the person is that is watching your room with the watch room spell.
You will need to learn this spell to be able to enter Moria through the west-gate. At night when the moon is up, cast detect magic, and then go to the west gate of Moria and “examine inscription”. You will see the message starting with “Doors of Durin…”, at which point the 'quest' is solved, and you can now enter the west-gate at any time by going there and saying 'friend' in Sindarin. (You can now decay detect magic if you no longer want the spell)

Special uses: This spell prevents some mobs and players from seeing you. The spell Detect Invisiblity allows you to see through the shroud. This spell has two uses. First, when cast without argument, it will give the magical key for the room you are standing in. If you are standing in a room that is nolocate, you will be given the message “Your inner eye did not manage to leave this place.” (This means that you cannot teleport or portal to or from this room, and you cannot use the watch room spell on or from this room).

They are not affected by the OB/PB/damage/speed(?) for wielded weapons, but if they wield an enchanted weapon, they will be affected by the +2 damage, +10 OB since these count as item 'flags.' Mobs are also affected by worn armour just as players are (e.g., an orc shaman from Moria wearing full metal is a significantly better buffer than the same mob without armour worn).

Killing shades and trolls, etc, will raise your alignment much faster. One nice benefit is helping to determine which targets Dispel Evil may do more damage too.

Special uses: Blindness is less effective against high level spiders since they have 'more eyes' (grey spider, and some in Mirkwood). Blindness is ineffective against most mobs without eyes (fungus, vines, trees, etc.) and is ineffective against skeletons who's eyes are missing.

Special uses: I did a few tests on PFE on different mobs with different aligns. I let them hit me 100 times with no pfe, 2 pracs of pfe and 12 pracs of pfe. Below are the average seconds it took them to hit me. As the resluts show, the spell is protection from EVIL so it has little effect on the neutral crazed. In some rare cases if you are leading and grouped, the mob will target the player following you, instead of hitting you first.

Special uses: Generally for every 1 increase in Str score, you get +1 OB. You can also wield heavier weapons and avoid the OB penalty. Having a higher Str can help your DB if carrying too much weight. It can also help your moves if carrying too much weight. At lower levels, this spell gives a +1 Str, at higher caster levels and % it will commonly give a +2 Str. If it is from a a high level cleric caster with max pracs it has a chance to grant a +3 Str. However Str scores actually have a decimal that you can't see, and can change with age. So it is possible to grant some players a +2 while others could get a +3. Casting with items that grant +spell attack or casting in zones good with your alignment (good align casters in GH, Lorien, or Rdell for example) can increase your chance of a +3 Str.

Calculation of damage: Depends on the poison selected, venom will do hit point damage, while arachnia does more move damage and can even sleep lower level mobs, and psylonia does more mana damage. Also can negate hit/mana/move regen for a time.
Special uses: You can choose which type of poison at the time of casting. You can poison targets with this spell, but you cannot poison weapons (like the envenom skill). One neat feature of this spell is that it is not “aggressive” when you cast it, it won't even wake a mob up. You do not gain xp if you kill a mob, since the poison damage killed them, not you. It has no hit/damage xp. Also, mobs seem to save against this poison really easily and I would recommend not using it. I've had frogs save vs it like 5 times in a row. /Baca

Calculation of duration: Instantly cures/closes wounds, removing the duration of the wounds effects.
Calculation of damage: Can cure as little as 1 damage for light wounds to curing over 25 damage from multiple serious wounds (especially to body).
Special uses:
This spell automatically targets the most severe wound(s). It works on all regular wounds (from light to critical) (not vs evil wound of Morgul Blade), and it does not matter if the wounds are (dirty) or (bandaged), etc. You'll also notice a small hit point recovery. This hit point recovery is most noticed when curing wounds to the body, as those cause Con to drop, and you suddenly get Con back. The higher the casting level of the spell (which is based on your caster's cleric level and this spell % praced) the more wounds it will cure on a target. Critical wounds might be closed up to a light wound for example.

Calculation of duration: The -breath of briskness flag can last for easily 6 minutes at higher legend levels or as short as 1 minute at lower levels.
Calculation of damage: On a single target, can easily recover 50 or more move points. If being used with a group these points are spread out amongst all the targets. If a small group, such as 2, you'll get more move points then a large group. At lower levels the move regen can be as small as +2 but can top +7 at higher levels (these are roughly estimated and compared to a FGC of +5). These move regen improvement appear to stack with other move regen items, herblores, and resting/sleeping.
Special uses: BOB has 2 different effects. It recovers move points when cast on the target(s). It also grants a move regen bonus for as long as the -breath of briskness flag is on your character. It can be used while grouped and affects everyone in the party, including mobs like mounts or charmies. The larger the group you are BOBing, the less the move point amount will be, since the points get distributed across all the targets. The move regen bonus is not reduced across targets.

Special uses: This spell gives the target (mob or player) a -15 OB penalty. It also gives a penalty on on spell saves. It can be cast even on mobs that are no-blind. This spell seems somewhat easy save against, most mobs will save it/resist occasionally. At a higher mana cost then blind, and most fights last less then 90 seconds, I would recommend using blind over using curse most of the time. /Baca

Special uses: This spell reveals hidden game mechanic information or gives more specific information for from a target. Information like the targets exact level (instead of a general idea from the consider command). The type of mob (humanoid, plant, spirit, giant, troll, multipede (mount), etc…), some flags the target may have like -stone -wood -magic -normal These help to understand how some spells, weapons, or other effects interact with the target. Such as any target flagged -hobbit will take slightly extra damage from a target flagged -troll. Or a target flagged as -stone will do slightly reduced damage against a -dwarf.

Calculation of duration: Instantly teleports when cast. When you arrive at the location, you will suffer a short 'teleport lag' before you can issue commands. Lag might last 15-20 seconds easy.

Special uses: This spell teleports whities to whitie recall location spots and darkies to darkie recall spots. Unlike teleport you cannot 'choose' the location for this teleport spell, it's an already predetermined room, somewhat near your region. You cannot use Word of Recall from no-port rooms (just like teleport). This spell requires some knowledge of the map, as to determine where you might end up after using this spell to teleport. Example: if you Word of Recall from Willow in Old Forest, you will end up at a graveyard in Bree. You'll also end up at that same graveyard from Druid near Bree. But if you Word of Recall near Greenholm, you'll end up at a different predetermined Word of Recall spot near that region instead.

Also this spell is eff vs orcs and vs spirits/shadows/ghosts/werewolves. Great in undead dominate areas, like Old Fornost.
Special uses: The damage from Dispel Evil is difficult to predict, since it depends on the alignment of the caster, the alignment of the target, and the alignment of the zone it's cast in. To do the max damage possible, have a high good alignment, cast on a very evil target, and cast it in a 'good zone', like near Grey Havens for example. Less damage would be done in a max evil zone against a neutral target, say on a trained horse in Trollshaws.
