Warnings

Using a lantern in the forest DOES NOT count as fire.

Some info so far: camp, burn, lightning bolt, fireball and call lightning are considered 'starting a fire' and make you wanted in fangorn. There doesn't seem to be any instant dt's in the zones. The backexit of urughash tower will deal tons of dam till you die or leave if you try to open it alone. Will still be tons of dam if 2 or more open it, but the exit will open at least. There's at least one quest which rewards some kinda horn. no idea about what the horn does yet. There's also a blackened pendant loading somewhere n of fangorn but no further info on that either at this time. /Nator

Damage Rooms: There are two rooms that seem to be weight limited. The first one is the bridge on the eastern side. A single troll can not go on it, but my single elf/dwarf can. The second is a room named “Atop the Forest Canopy” which seems to be dependent on weight/climb skill as well. A dwarf and my elf went up it. The dwarf fell and ate ~150 damage. I fell as well and ate > 190 damage. Not sure what triggers it, but it hurts a lot. /Iluvator

Well Dwarion learned hard way and didnt read this and ate >227 dmg from that canopy hurt alot /Skyler

I ripped Ivin (wasn't paying attention to this room desc) from 255hps to dead in max abs set. Just letting you know it can hurt a LOT.

Entish

Several options to learn Entish:

You can do ask mob cryhavoc to learn a leanguage … :P /Wojtek

You can spam “ask Treebeard orc” or go to Beechbone and “comfort tree;comfort ent;comfort beech”. I use all three commands together to avoid the “You seem to be repeating yourself message”. I got up to 45% entish in a matter of a minute or so this way with max mental Elemmire. Sadly 45% seems to be all i can get.

Other Mudlle:

The water from the river Fangorn give you - refreshment. It is a short term effect only and I'll need to test more to see what it does. Elemmire

Refreshment is increased regen (no idea on what) and it is in many places throughout Fanghorn. Beechbone's pool, and the water in his old place, both have it. /Iluvator

I'm not to sure here, but it seems that different messages are given once refreshment wears off. Perhaps its more along the lines of a RANDOM regen. The one message I got was along the lines of “You feel more tired.” and another “You feel less healthy”. /Ilverin

I drank water and got the 'refreshment' but it said “…giving you a sense of better focus.” “You feel less focused.” is the departing message. I assume this one is for mana regen?/Ivin

Quickbeam's Zone

I've just got confirmation from the builder that Quickbeam's zone as we know it is complete (the puffballs are the only secret). The original plan was more ambitious as hinted by the descriptions, but it wasn't fully developed by lack of time. -Waba, 2008-12-16.

Quests:

I have also been told that there are around 10 quests that have been discovered in Fanghorn so far. I have found two of them. /Iluvator

Is it just me or did Identify used to show more? This is with 92% Identify or 30 staffed (+1) mage.

They changed Identify to show reasonable (readable) output. Was some message at the maia-board. /Rik
